Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar was one of the American and British sitar artist. She was also the very first and youngest female to receive an award from the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka is a rising star in Indian sitar. She's the daughter of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Born in London, she spent the early years of her life bouncing between London as well as New Delhi. In the age of thirteen, she gave her first performance on stage in New Delhi. At the age of 13, she finished her high schooling within Encinitas CA. Anouskha continues to have a bright music and acting career, even though she's only a teenager. Since a while, she regularly performs with her father. A few years later, she made her sitar debut in Delhi for her father's 70th birthday party. Anoushka was a part of her father on his worldwide tour, gained an impressive quantity of knowledge. When she was in her teens, she played at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD as well as recorded with George Harrison.
